Reverse the pics and it’s me and my 8yo son
My family has two autistic people, and two people who aren’t autistic but have intense interests like autistic people. Every one of us has been on both sides of this interaction.
This is in reverse for me. My brother will go on forever about things he likes, and I’ll sit and listen and chime in every now and then. It’s important to be kind to your little siblings. They’re in an important stage of life, and how you treat them now will form your relationship for the rest of their lives.
idk what it is abt seeing people passionate abt sum. it just brings me sm joy.
I’m 28 and still don’t understand his World of Warcraft storylines.
What I wouldn’t give for one more conversation like this one with my big brother.
That something was communism
As someone who’s extremely passionate about drawing and music, thank you to everyone who’s like this. You keep me sane, i hate just bottling up the stuff i love lol
For me its anyone in my immediate vicinity.
My brother in the 80s talking about the band Rush
Awww, that reminds me of my little sister. She’s still like that even though we’re adults. u/ohhimarissa.
For some reason, this reminded me of a time when it was my younger sister’s bday, invited her middle school friend group over, and then I ended up playing smash bros with them, and I challenged all 6 of them to a 6 vs 1, all of them vs me, and I won. Blew their minds.
Later, my younger sister said they knew me as the guy who’s super good at smash bros hahaha. Good times.
Yeah I’m that one brother who is like that, my little bro is always confused but pretends to understand and interested anyways
My elder brother loves physics and goes off about it at every opportunity he gets. Y’all can guess who’s on the other side of the conversation.
I am a simple lad. I see Ninjago, I upvote 😂
Me as a kid, listening to my brother talk about Shadowbane.
The brother is me when I was in kindergarten just happy my then 15-year-old aunt was spending time with me as she told me all about her plan to spend a gap year in France after she graduated high school while showing me photos in a picture tourist guide to all the must see sites in France. Thirty years later I finally got to go to France for the first time and it was even more awesome than I had been led to believe. Led to my love of travel.
What is a negative feedback loop lately and this subreddit has kept me going.
My brother used to be like that and then he grew up :'(
There’s a 15 year difference between my older brother and I. So way back when, I thought my brother was the coolest. He still is the coolest nowadays, but in different ways.
I still do that with my 18 y o sister
Prior to my midterm exam, 16-year-old me explained all of derivative calculus to my 12-year-old sister in a very intense 20 minutes. She was very intimidated and never took calculus.
It stays the same as you get older
This is me at 28 still not understanding my big bro when he rants about cars, love the guy but i’ll never hold onto all the car knowledge he’s bestowed upon me
Perks of being the youngest brother
My brother came home drunk one night and made pancakes at 1am, all while explaining in depth how pancakes were made. I was 12 and already knew how to make pancakes but he wouldn’t let me walk away
I am the older brother. I do this. Thank you
never had this feeling before but I think I am doing this with my friend but we both understand what I am passionate about 🙂
My friends when I start infodumping about Pokemon and Ninjago
Best thing is that the brother listens like he really absorbing knowledge & going to be thankful in future
Still do that!! We like to watch things together and he introduced to me a lot of stuff that I wouldn’t like initially and I make him watch the things that I like
I relate to this on a whole another level
I absolutely love Jay as a Ninjago character. He is a perfect comedic relief and has a good story arc. Seeing him in memes makes me sosososo happy. Thank you for a new template, random stranger. I hope to see more of it.
I was 11 when my brother showed me coding
So there’s this guy makuta teridax…
when i talk about something i like to my brother he yells at me. but when he talks to me i always try to listen…
“…and that’s why Abella Danger is a pioneer in the industry.”
reverse it and its me and my lil bro there hehe
Step sis “keep going brother”
Are you stupid? How do you not understand anything at the age of 8, no matter how complicated the subject you should be able to atleast get something, it’s also pretty disrespectful to just “listen” instead of genuinely trying to understand it, asking questions and getting taught when you don’t understand anything he’s talking about since that’s his goal in the first place.
…so the good thing about futa is you can fap to cocks without being gay…
Grandma: You’ll eat them all, won’t you?
“That’s… why I’m not American second of all houses don’t hope you die before 21 I’m not OP but given the sub, here’s a client that comes to my job and he is bald with a beard (Idk how well-kept it is with the masks) but he’s trying to make him change his ways. Instead he liked the future, so he’s doing everything the same way he was going to.
When my brother was 20 he was a manager at a movie theater. When the first Wolverine movie came out he came home super late cos he had to splice it. He woke me up to tell me all the details of the movie. I’m ehh with superhero movies, but my older brother likes to tell me why he thinks stuff is so awesome to him.
Chote ko yahi kaha bas ki b tech na kar na
Just happened when my brother talks about his fishing rods to me. Just random brother moments.
Lol nice I feel like this relates to me too but I can’t put my finger on it
Me when I talk about anime to my brother.
Bro thats legit my little brother whenever i wanna talk about blacksmithing and i know for a fact that he doesn’t find it that interesting but he still listenes to me
*Sigh,* I am the older brother
That’s the secret for having Playstation 5 once his brother got his passion job.
My parents and siblings are negative when I try to talk about something, they would always ignore me or say something negative that’s why I don’t talk to anyone about things I’m interested in..I wish I had someone who i could talk to..😢
Very relatable.. On both ends
My older brother is 30 and still does this to me lol. I don’t understand half of what he tells me about Astrophotography, but I’ll let him go on for an hour about it. I’m just glad he’s found something that makes him happy.
Let me tell you the story of dark souls…
I am 13 years old but still do the same with my twin brother
Yeah idk lying isn’t wholesome.
