This is from last nights 100 Breast. I have been swimming competitively for about 5 months.
I’m not the best swimmer, but this is still my best so far!
U have to shoot thru the water on the recovery. Watch someone like lily king and you will see how fast they go from the scoop to the streamline
Biggest thing I saw was your pullout being way to wide. Think of it as trying to climb out of the pool, are your arms straight or bent 90 degrees and close to the body? Also I know it sucks but you need to tighten up and go max effort on each wall because it’s the fastest you will ever be.
The best breaststrokers hold their stroke the whole race. It’s not about making stronger movements it’s about making the fewest mistakes.
